There are people from all over the world searching for something to fill a void in their lives. Some turn to drugs and alcohol, others to illicit sex, while some are workaholics, sports addicts, and materialists. The list goes on and on. God created us to be dependent beings but to be dependent on him. The things listed above temporarily seem to fill the void. Then comes the empty feeling again. So what is the answer?
The following is an electronic study designed to help you find God, who can truly fill this void. Our study will come from a book which will point you to a person. The book is the Bible and the person is Jesus, God's one and only son. The Bible teaches that, "you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13. So, if you're seeking God with all your heart, you will find Him and He will fill the void with truth. That truth will set you free. Jesus said that the words in the Bible are truth and that He himself is truth. In John 17:17 Jesus says, "Sanctify them by the truth, your word is truth." In John 8:32 Jesus teaches, "then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Jesus says, in John 14:6,"I am the way and the truth and the life."
We will present evidence to show why God's Word is true, following with how that truth will set you free. Our study will be called "True Freedom." We pray that you will begin reading with hope for the future because experiencing inward freedom is a desire found in every man.
May God bless you and may you enjoy God's gift of freedom. |

What is freedom? The dictionary defines it as the ability to choose without restriction. Many people say they want to be free and to be in control. They want to be free to make their own decisions without any restrictions, whatsoever. This may sound good, but is it? If a man drives through a grocery parking lot and chooses to drive at 40 mph, is that good? Any reasonable person would say no because someone could get hurt. Without restrictions, then come problems, including danger.

We want to begin our study with a premise. This premise is very important to the point we want to make. The premise is that God’s Word has amazing unity, even though there are 66 books, written by 40 different writers over a period of 1600 years. Some people would look at our premise and conclude that the Bible couldn’t possibly have unity, for three reasons. First, many of the writers lived in different periods of history. Secondly, they were from different countries and cultures. Finally, the writers came from a variety of occupations: kings, fishermen, tax collectors, shepherds, prophets, and even a physician. However, we will attempt to show that they were inspired by one author, God, who certainly has the ability to unify these writers toward one common theme, redemption. To show this unity and the truthfulness of God’s Word, we will get into 6 different areas:
Why God’s Word Is True
1.Balance
2.Words and Phrases
3.Symbols and Types
4.God-Incidences
5.Prophecy
6.Archaeological Texts
